Terms and Conditions
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU MAKE A PHOTOCOPY OF YOUR COMPLETED BOOKING FORM AND THESE BOOKING CONDITIONS.
CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING
A contract shall exist between the client, which expression shall include all persons on whose behalf the client books and Mr JM O’Brien-Gore (herein after referred to as AlpBase.com) when a booking form duly signed by the client has been received with their deposit and full payment as applicable and an email confirmation invoice has been issued by AlpBase.com to the client.
PAYMENT SCHEDULES
To secure your accommodation we require a 30% non-refundable deposit with completed Booking Form. Payment of the final balance must be received by AlpBase.com at least 6 weeks before the start of your holiday. Failure to pay the balance within six weeks of your arrival date may result in the cancellation of your holiday.
CANCELLATION CHARGES
If you cancel your holiday, you must immediately notify AlpBase.com in writing and by email to minimise your cancellation charges.
Cancellation charges at period before arrival date:
Booking Deposit – NON REFUNDABLE
- 4-6 weeks – 50% of total holiday cost
- 2-4 weeks – 75% of total holiday cost
- Under 2 weeks – 100% of holiday cost
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES
- Arrival Time: 16.00 - 20.00hrs. on your arrival day
- Departure Time: By 10.00 hrs. on your departure day
LATE ARRIVALS
For arrivals after 20.00hrs please inform us via your booking form to ensure correct arrangements for key collection. N.B. If you don’t notify us of your arrival time you may not be able to access your accommodation.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
We can only give you the accommodation keys if we have your security deposit.
On your arrival day we will ask for one of the following
- An identity card or passport
- UK cheque (£600 for chalets; £500 for apartments)
- Cash in Euros (€600 for chalets; €500 for apartments)
At the end of your holiday we will make an inspection of your accommodation and then return your security deposit to you. We will only make charges for extra cleaning, equipment breakages or accommodation repairs as a result of your stay. Although we would add this is extremely rare.
BED LINEN
Full week rentals: If booking for 7 nights or more we charge €12 per person; to be included with your final payment. This includes bed sheets, a duvet cover, pillow slip and bath towel. If bringing your own bed linen there is no extra charge and we will supply duvets and rectangular pillows. Please ensure you bring appropriate bed linen including bed sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers. Sleeping bags and no pillow slips are not allowed as they can soil the mattresses.
Short break rentals: If booking for just a few nights we include bedlinen and towels for free. This includes bed sheets, a duvet cover, pillow slip and bath towel. If bringing your own bed linen we will supply duvets and rectangular pillows. Please ensure you bring appropriate bed linen including bed sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers. Sleeping bags and no pillow slips are not allowed as they can soil the mattresses.
CLEANING
Your accommodation is to be left as you found it ready for the next guests. There is a cleaning checklist in your accommodation. All cleaning materials are supplied If you would like us to do the cleaning please tell us in advance. We cannot organise cleaners at the last minute. For cleaning we charge the following:
- APARTMENTS: €50
- CHALETS: €80
INSURANCE
It is a condition of booking that all clients have insurance which provides them with travel and cancellation cover. If engaging in outdoor pursuits it is the client’s responsibility to arrange additional insurance cover. For further information/advice please contact us.
ANIMALS
Pets are allowed in some of our accommodation but by prior arrangement only. We charge an extra €50 per pet. Please email us for details and charges or see our website for details. But you must inform us in advance of your stay if you would like to bring a pet, such as a dog or cat, with you.
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
All clients agree that only those named on the booking form will be staying at AlpBase.com accommodation. All clients also agree not to cause any damage to their accommodation or its contents booked with AlpBase.com. We will not be held responsible for any claims made against them. We reserve the right to claim back from the client any costs or charges incurred due to damage to a chalet, whether accidentally caused or not. Reimbursement to AlpBase.com must be made before the client departs.
CLIENT BEHAVIOUR
We are entitled to ask the client and his party to leave our accommodation without any refund if it is the opinion of AlpBase.com that the client’s behaviour is unacceptable.
COMPLAINTS
Whilst we will do our best to make your holiday with us a success, any problem you have or matter you wish to complain about must be made known to us immediately, so we have the opportunity to resolve the matter. Complaints made after the completion of your holiday will not be considered.
UNFORESEEN EVENTS
AlpBase.com cannot be held responsible for events that could not be foreseen or avoided. Such events include natural disasters, adverse weather conditions, fire, travel delay, power cuts, frozen pipes, and limitations imposed by resort authorities such as the closure of ski lifts.
WINTER
Always book snow chains with your hire car during the winter months - November to April. Please check that chains are available with your hire car. You may have to buy them at a garage en route to us.
JURISDICTION
These conditions and any contract to which they apply are governed in all respects by European Law.
